We all know Boko Haram members have killed millions of people including properties, they have also displaced many families in the Northeast Nigeria. A civil society group called Sterling Center for Law and Development, is advocating the rehabilitation of children who have been
displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast.
The Coordinator of the organisation, Deji Ajare, made the
appeal Today Saturday 28th of May 2016 at an event in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
He said that post-conflict rehabilitation for children
should not be taken lightly by any government that seeks to invest in the
social well-being of its young population.
Mr Ajare also urged the Federal Government to re-prioritise
its agenda for children.
He stressed that at least 60% of the insurgency victims in
the Internally Displaced Persons’ camps were children.
