From October 1, Citi Field parking lot will host a music
festival headlined by Yeezus himself, which will last for two days.
The Meadows Music and Arts Festival will feature The
Weekend, Chance The Rapper, Kygo, Grimes, Pusha T, The 1975, Bryson Tiller,
Savages, and more.
The organizers of the new festival, Founders Entertainment,
also put on the Governors Ball.
The last day of the Governors Ball, which was to be
headlined by Kanye West, was canceled due to rain earlier this month.
That cancellation paved the way for West to headline the new
festival, which will feature over 42 artists on four stages, organizers said.
Anyone who has bought a Governors Ball ticket will have
access to a presale for the new Queens festival starting Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Tickets go of sale to the general public Thursday.
The festival will also “showcase a world's fair of cuisine
from around the globe, and feature a tour de force in craft cocktails from some
of the finest mixologists around,” according to a release.
The Meadows fest is to take place the same weekend that the
popular World Maker Faire will be held in the parking lot of the nearby New
York Hall of Science.
