National Prosecuting Authority is considering its options regarding the convicted murderer, Oscar Pistorius’ six year sentence.
“We haven’t made a decision yet, but we will consider our options going forward,” spokesperson Bulelwa Makeke said.
Makeke said the NPA would inform the nation of its decision in time.
“We will communicate on that as we go along,” Makeke said.
The former Paralympian athlete was sentenced by Judge Thokozile Masipa to six years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius was taken to prison after the sentence was handed down on Wednesday.
People expressed great anger and shock over the sentence.
Many compared ow the men who robbed SABC reporter Vuyo Mvoko at gunpoint got 15 years in prison, while a convicted murderer only gets six years.
