The Nigeria Football Federation have confirmed the appointment of Gernot Rohr on 2-year deal which will see the Geman work with the FA as Technical Adviser to the Super Eagles.
Rohr, 63, was recommended this week though news had filtered out last weekend of his pending appointment.
The German’s resume based on engagement with African football is impressive but taking the Nigeria job might prove his biggest task yet.
His spells with the Gabon and Burkina Faso national teams as well as club management experiences are perhaps some of the reasons he got the NFF Technical Committee’s nod, but co.ditions of service which Frenchman, Paul LeGuen refused might not have fazed the new Technical Adviser and first foreign Coach the NFF have hired since 2010.
